Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford are said to be “living in two different worlds” four months on from announcing their shock split.

As divorce proceedings get underway, Eamonn, 64, has been seen enjoying time with his rumoured new girlfriend Katie Alexander, 42, while Ruth, 64, has been focusing on work commitments.

According to a source, the GB News presenter’s lover is hoping to take things to the next level when able to do after going public.

“Eamonn has been very solitary, he only wants to be with Katie,” the insider told Closer Magazine.

“She wants marriage and thinks he’s her soulmate. They want to buy a house in Belfast and be together.”

As the pair move on from their 14-year marriage, Ruth has been putting on a brave face in public and on live ITV show Loose Women.

She is also said to be relying on her close friends to keep her spirits up, including her ‘TV son’ Rylan Clark and co-star Coleen Nolan.

Eamonn’s new girlfriend is reportedly a divorced relationship counsellor and mother-of-three, who has known him for several years.

Last week, the couple were pictured heading on holiday to Spain from Heathrow airport.

While enjoying some down time in Ibiza, Eamonn, who is still wearing his wedding ring, was seen putting on a PDA with Katie.

Other snaps show him seeming in high spirits as he posed with fans from his wheelchair.

According to a source, Ruth is said to be “gobsmacked” by Eamonn’s trip with Katie.

They told The Sun: “Eamonn’s zest for her [Katie] – the latest being this all-expenses-paid trip – has wowed Ruth and pals. He has found a new lease of life for sure. Everyone is amazed.

“The cruise is just the latest proof of their closeness. Katie has been telling pals she and Eamonn are going to be for keeps – and now everyone is starting to believe her.”

The GB News presenter and Ruth announced their split back in May via a spokesperson, who said they were in the process of a divorce and were hoping to remain amicable.

Together, they share a 22-year-old son named Jack, while Eamonn also has three older children from his first marriage.
