Kaye Adams was forced to apologise to viewers after guest Ruby Wax swore twice during Loose Women on Thursday.

The TV presenter, 61, issued a hasty disclaimer after the comedian, 71, turned the air blue while chatting about her daughters.

The latest installment saw the panel – made up of Kaye, Frankie Bridge, Brenda Edwards and Kelle Bryan – joined by Ruby to discuss her UK tour, I’m Not As Well As I Thought I Was.

The TV writer’s two daughters Madeleine, 33, and Marina Bye, 31, have followed in her footsteps by forming a comedy double act called Siblings.

However, despite her decades of experience in the industry, she revealed her two girls frequently don’t allow her to help with putting their act together and even ban her from watching their shows.

Ruby admitted: ‘I was so worried about them being funny, but they’re funny’.

Kaye then asked: ‘How does it feel to see them up there – even if you’re only in for two minutes before you get hoofed out?’

But Ruby gave an unexpectedly potty-mouthed reply, saying: ‘I don’t know! They’re more talented than I am so I get, p****d off. Yeah really p*****d off, none of this “Go Girl!”‘

Her rude blunder caused Brenda to burst into a fit of giggles, while the live studio audience erupted in laughter.

There was an awkward beat before Kaye addressed the audience to apologise, but admitted that she felt very smug about it.

She said: ‘Well, I mean I take great pleasure in having to apologise for Ruby Wax’s language. It will go down in my CV!’

Her satisfaction came after she was forced to say sorry for her own accidental foul language during the show last month.

Kaye had been talking to panellists Denise Welch, Brenda and Janet Street-Porter about their varying dress sense when she made the hilarous gaffe.

As Denise, 66, began describing at length the kind of shoes she was wearing , an impatient Kaye interrupted to demand: ‘Let’s see these bl**** sho-‘, before stopping abruptly.

Realising her cheeky blunder, Kaye clapped a shocked hand over her mouth and exclaimed: ‘Oop!’

The audience fell about in hysterics as Brenda quipped: ‘Hey, everybody’s naughty on the panel today!’

While Denise took the opportunity to jokingly scold Kaye, saying: ‘It’s half term Kaye Adams!’

A sheepish Kaye begged: ‘Can I please apologise for my language? ‘I’m sorry for any offence that has been caused.’

While Denise dramatically threw her leg on the desk, honouring Kaye’s request to see her shoes, causing the Scottish broadcaster to add: ‘But, I mean, who can blame me? Look at those shoes!’

But as she admired the chunky white trainers, she then asked: ‘Are they orthopaedic shoes?’ causing an outraged Denise to yell: ‘No, they’re not orthopaedic shoes!’ as the audience again roared with laughter.
