THE ‘real’ reason why Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes are both still wearing their wedding rings has been revealed after he jetted off on holiday with another woman.

Ruth and Eamonn, both 64, shocked the nation back in May when they revealed that they had split up after 14 years of marriage.

Over the past few months, both of the TV stars have been seen with their wedding band on.

Just yesterday, Ruth flashed her rock while chatting to fans on her Instagram story ahead of her appearance on Monday’s Loose Women.

Meanwhile Eamonn and his new girlfriend Katie Alexander, 42, travelled to Spain over the weekend to head on a cruise.

A source told MailOnline: “Ruth is shocked by how open Eamonn is being about his relationship, after all they both still have their wedding rings on.”

They added: “Neither of them want to be the first to take it off because they don’t want to look like they’re to blame for the split.”

The Sun contacted Ruth and Eamonn’s reps for comment.

It comes after reports have claimed that Ruth is “shocked” after her estranged husband Eamonn whisked his new girlfriend on holiday.

An insider told MailOnline: “Ruth is shocked by how open Eamonn is being about his relationship, after all they both still have their wedding rings on.

“Neither of them want to be the first to take it off because they don’t want to look like they’re to blame for the split.”

Eamonn and Ruth’s reps declined to comment when approached by the Mail.

The new couple then landed in Barcelona to board Virgin Voyager’s luxurious Scarlet Lady.

The Mirror reported that a body language expert thinks that Eamonn “could have been kinder” to Katie.

Body language expert Judi James told the publication: “The body language of Eamonn and Katie here makes all her dedicated-looking behaviours seem a bit like a thankless task as she is seen bending, lugging bags and making herself busy organising Eamonn’s arrival at the dock despite the fact that he buzzes off leaving her trailing in his wake and shows no signs of pinging back her loving, caring-looking smiles.”

She also thinks that Katie is “under prepared” for her “duties”.

Judi added: “Katie actually looks a little unprepared for her duties here, too.

“The outfit might look practical but those strappy sandals with their high see-thru heels don’t look ideal for a job of fetching, carrying and organising.

“She looks dressed more for a romantic break and her chatty, smiley behaviour with other guests makes her look excited and full of anticipation about her luxury cruise.”
