David Walliams takes BRUTAL swipe at Ben Shephard’s ‘BALLOONING’ weight as This Morning cooking demo turns SERIOUSLY catty

David Walliams took a savage swipe at Ben Shephard on Tuesday’s This Morning as he made a catty comment about his ‘ballooning’ weight.

During Juliet Sear’s cooking segment on the ITV show, presenters Ben and Cat Deeley were joined by David to taste test her delicious smore brownies.

However, as the trio tucked into the chocolatey dessert, David quickly told Ben to take a small slice because his weight ‘has ballooned’.

The former Britain’s Got Talent judge said: ‘Not to much Ben because you’ve ballooned…’

Stumbling on his words as he replied, Ben said: ‘I know, I have. Well, you’re in my outfit and then I couldn’t wear that outfit like you were’.

It wasn’t the only awkward moment during the broadcast – elsewhere, Ben dropped Cat as the pair attempted the viral Dancing With The Stars lift.

The presenters took on the challenge right at the start of the show but it seriously backfired.

The move was performed by this season’s contestant Danny Amendola and his partner, Witney Carson, as he lifted her from the ground by the ankle.

The elaborate choreography has now gone viral on TikTok, with thousands of people trying it out for themselves at home – including last season’s DWTS contestant Ariana Madix, Nick Cannon and Summer House stars Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke.

The duo opened the show with Ben asking Cat if she was okay after they attempted the move, probing: ‘Do you need medical assistance!?’

They then played the clip of them trying it before they went live on air as Ben struggled to get Cat up off the floor.

When he did get her up she nearly made it to her feet before falling to the ground in a heap and laughing.

It comes after a back and neck surgeon sounded the alarm on the dangerous move last week.

It could cause a whole host of problems for your neck and back, according to board-certified orthopedic surgeon Dr. Rahul Shah out of New Jersey’s Premier Orthopaedic Associates.

Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com, Dr. Shah explained why the move is so dangerous, and warned that it could result in serious injury.

‘In the process of going from a laying down to a standing position, muscles that folks don’t typically use may be recruited, potentially resulting in injury,’ Dr. Shah told DailyMail.com.

‘Specifically, if one doesn’t have enough core strength to allow the individual pulling on the leg, one may torque through the spine and cause injury,’ he added.

‘Additionally, the one who is pulling the leg may also not have enough strength or enough of a stable platform off of which to pull the leg, and this may result in injury for either or both parties involved.’

Dr. Shah said that the choreography could potentially ‘overload’ the lower back and hips, which could lead to a herniated disc.
