KOURTNEY Kardashian and husband Travis Barker’s first son’s name has been revealed – as well as the hidden link to their past.

The reality star and businesswoman, 44, and the Blink-182 drummer, 47, welcomed a baby boy on Wednesday 1 November in Los Angeles.

And it’s since been revealed that they chose a very unique name for their new little bundle of joy.

In documents obtained by PEOPLE, the little boy’s name was unveiled as Rocky Thirteen Barker.

Travis had repeatedly hinted at his son’s name – a favourite of his – while fans thought they’d guessed it correctly when baby shower photos showed a wishing tree where guests had written personalised messages.

But what does the name mean? And how is the unique moniker connected to Kourtney and Travis’ romance?

Kirsty Douglas, a Parenting Expert at Kiddies Kingdom, tells Fabulous: “Like many parents, Kourtney and Travis appear to have taken inspiration for their baby’s name from popular culture.

“Travis has previously discussed the sentimental reasons behind the name Rocky, explaining the link to guitarist Rocky George and the 1976 movie of the same name.”

However, she said it also had a secret link to Kourtney and Travis’ wedding location in Italy’s picturesque Portofino.

Kirsty continued: “The origin of the name Rocky may have also influenced their decision.

“It comes from the Italian name Rocco, and the pair have sentimental ties to the country after marrying there in 2022.

“Parents often choose to name their children after meaningful places.”

Going on to explain even more of the origins of baby Barker’s name, Kirsty said: “Rocco also has German influence coming from the old German word ‘hrok’ which means to rest, something that fourteenth-century Catholic saint San Rocco was well-known for prioritising after his days tending to the sick during the plague.”

Meanwhile, the couple also appear to have a special reason for their son’s unusual middle moniker – as Travis has shared in the past.

Kirsty added: “As for Thirteen, in most cultures, it’s considered to be a sign of bad luck.

“However, Travis has never been one to follow the crowd and has previously said that ‘Thirteen is just the greatest number of all time’.”

The baby name pro also shared how the number could have wider significance to the Kardashian family as a whole.

She concluded: “The pair could also have chosen the name to symbolise the fact Rocky is the thirteenth Kardashian grandchild.”

Meanwhile, fellow baby name expert Steph Coffield had her say on the latest member of the gang’s name – and how it suits both parents down to a tee.

She told us: “Rocky Thirteen is the perfect blend of names for a Kardashian and a musician.

“Rocky is a whimsical word name that has Italian origins meaning rest. It’s tough and masculine, but also playful sounding.

“Thirteen is the ‘greatest number’ according to Travis and the middle spot is the perfect place for those more uncommon choices.”

The couple’s first born will be a younger brother to his older siblings.

Kourtney is a proud mum to daughter Penelope Scotland, 11, plus sons Reign Aston, 8, and Mason Dash, 13, from her relationship with ex Scott Disick.
