Kim Kardashian risks reigniting Taylor Swift feud as she supports singer’s ex-boyfriend

Kim Kardashian did something that could potentially add more fire to the fuel to her feud with Taylor Swift.

The reality TV star mentioned Jake Gyllenhaal and his recent Apple show, Presumed Innocent, in one of her Instagram Stories on July 28. It was a screenshot of a still of the actor from the show, the title and a synopsis of the first episode on the streaming service. She captioned the post: “Heard this is THE show to watch! Starting it tonight @jakegyllenhaal @appletv”

Jake Gyllenhaal is Taylor’s ex, who many Swifties believe is the subject of All Too Well. Because of this, many feel this is a direct jab at Taylor.

Taylor and Kim, who once had a brief friendship, have a history of bad blood between each other that started in June 2016.

It all began when Kanye West released Famous. In the song, he had a line about the Pennsylvania native: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? / I made that b—- famous” The controversial line did not go while with many people and West tried to defend himself stating he received approval from Taylor which she denied. Kim also backed her then-husband up, stating he got permission and followed the “proper protocol” in a GQ interview in July 2016.

Then in the same month, Kim released a series of short Snapchat video footage of the rapper’s phone conversation with Taylor where it appeared she supported the lyrics. The only specific line discussed in the videos were “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex” line. Afterwards Swift’s rep highlighted that same point and told PEOPLE, “Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyrics, ‘I made that b—- famous.'”

A little over a year later in 2017, Taylor referenced the drama as easter eggs in the Look What You Made Me Do music video where she had many notable snake imagery. It appeared she was taking back the snake emoji that was used against her when the footage was dropped to suggest she was liar.

Three years later, the full 25 min phone conversation leaked centering the feud once more where it corroborate Taylor’s claim that she was good with the “sex” line but not the “b—-” one which that line did not come up in the phone call. The Prophecy singer within the conversation was glad the father-of-four didn’t use the B-word to reference her: “I thought it was going to be like, ‘That stupid, dumb b—-‘ But it’s not.”

Recently the feud was brought to attention with Taylor’s song, thanK you aIMee from her eleventh studio album The Tortured Poet Department. The album came out April 19 and people noticed the capitalization in the song title spells Kim. The also song tells the story about a high school bully. Fans began to speculate the song is about the SKIMS founder.

It has yet to be seen if Kim posting the Donnie Darko star will lead to anything. But Jake Gyllenhaal is not a favorite among Taylor’s past boyfriends. The two dated for three months from 2010 to 2011 when Taylor was 20 and he was 29. The conversation of age and his treatment of Taylor came into question when the All Too Well short was released many fans speculated that the song and the music video was referencing Jake.
