Lauryn Goodman said there was a lot that happened at the Celebs Go Dating retreat which didn’t air on screens.

The influencer’s last relationship was with married football star Kyle Walker, with him fathering two children with her. Her private life has been hitting headlines in recent months so it was a shock to fans when she made an appearance on Celebs Go Dating as a latecomer.

The E4 programme shared a teaser clip from the stars’ retreat. In the video, Lauryn, Ella Morgan and Stephen Webb crowded around a laptop to chat with expert Anna Williamson about how they were getting along with their potential romantic interests. When Anna asked how her day was going, Lauryn said: “I’m actually not happy. I wasn’t eased in. I was just thrown in the deep end and wasn’t given a life jacket and I think I potentially drowned.”

Ella then chimed in to say that Lauryn didn’t like any of the matches, with Lauryn adding: “Because honestly, if they’re confident, right, they’ll bring it out of me. I feel like my confidence has been knocked for a little while now. I’m not back to how I was originally. I used to be really confident, really ballsy and now I’m kind of like hmm…”

Anna told Lauryn that the agency needed to do more work with her to regain her confidence before she could start trusting people again. “There’s a lot that we need to help you with,” Anna said. “Certainly when it comes to confidence, trusting people.” Lauryn reshared the video to her Instagram Stories and told fans she needed to add more context.

Lauryn wrote on Monday: “Ahh there was definitely more that happened at this retreat that hasn’t been shown so I’ll have to get into it for context purposes. Night guys enjoy tonight’s episode.” Lauryn is best known for her tumultuous relationship with footballer Kyle Walker during his marriage to Annie Kilner.

She is also the mother of their two children, Kairo, four, and Kinara, 13 months. She joined Celebs Go Dating in hopes of having a fresh star. She said of the experience: “I think viewers are going to be quite surprised. I think that people think that I just sleep around. Not that there is anything wrong with that – each to their own – but for me, I wasn’t brought up like that.”

The mum-of-two added to OK!: “My dad was really strict when I was younger. No boys were allowed upstairs. I have had four partners. One was long-term and I lived with him, a couple were well-known names and a couple not so well-known. It comes out in my deep dive with the agents, that was really emotional.”
