Ola Jordan revealed who she thinks is the ‘weakest’ contestant on Strictly Come Dancing following the elimination of Sam Quek and Nikita Kuzmin on Saturday.
The ballroom star, 42, who was a pro dancer on the BBC show from 2006 to 2015, urged Wynne Evans to ‘watch out’ as she thinks he might be going soon.
The Welsh opera singer, 52, is currently partnered up with pro Katya Jones, 35, as the duo delighted judges and fans with a Rhumba routine for Icons Week.
Speaking candidly about the pair’s dance, Ola told Mecca Bingo: ‘It was okay. I just think it was very dramatic, a bit over the top. They concentrated too much on the drama of the whole dance.
‘Katya was just going crazy around him instead of on the actual technique of rumba and the fluidity of the dance. It was just overshadowed by the singing and the drama.’

The star urged Wynne Evans (pictured last week) to ‘watch out’ as she thinks he might be going soon during a candid chat with Mecca Bingo
She added: ‘The dance was just alright, I wasn’t too fussed about it. I think he’s got to watch out if I’m honest because I think he’s going to be one of the weaker ones now, I think.’
Ola admitted to be gutted to see Sam, 36, and Nikita, 26, go home on Saturday’s instalment – and expressed a preference for JB Gill.
Speaking on Sam’s shock exit, the dancer said: ‘No, she didn’t deserve to go home.
‘I think it was probably one of her best dances, but at the same time, I think people probably thought she was safe, and that’s why they didn’t vote.’
‘It was quite a nice week for her, her dance wasn’t offensive in any way, it was very pretty.
‘It was very safe at the same time, it wasn’t like the best ballroom dance I’ve ever seen because she’s not a dancer and she’s quite stiff in her body and there needed to be a bit more movement like that, but I think she was good for her.
‘It was one of her best dances for me. So yeah, a little bit surprised she ended up in the bottom two.’
Ola also praised JB’s performance, which earned him a nearly perfect score of 39/40 with pro partner Lauren Oakley.

‘JB was amazing – I loved him. I think the whole dance was amazing. It was by far the best of his dances again in the show,’ Ola said

The JLS alum was originally partnered up with Strictly darling Amy Dowden – but the dancer was forced to pull out of last weekend’s show after collapsing backstage the week prior, with fellow professional Lauren being drafted in as her replacement.
Moved by the singer’s routine, Ola said: ‘JB was amazing – I loved him. I think the whole dance was amazing. It was by far the best of his dances again in the show.’
‘I’m sure it was a lot of pressure for him to have a new dance partner, Lauren. It was just different for him to get used to, but Lauren is such an amazing dancer and she was amazing in that number as well.’
‘I think it showed how much he enjoyed the whole week, how much he enjoyed the dance, and how much he enjoyed dancing with Lauren.’
‘He shined for me. I hope that was sort of like a moment for him in the competition that makes a statement to say, ‘Wow, JB just arrived’, and he’s going to be continuing like that through the rest of the competition because he’s good.’
‘I’ve been waiting for that moment to happen because with JB I’ve said before that he was good but there’s been something missing. But he had that moment this week that it’s like, wow, he’s arrived in a competition, finally. I hope that it will continue for the next few weeks.’
On the other hand, Ola admitted XFactor sensation Shayne Ward – who is currently partnered up with pro Nancy Xu – didn’t quite impress her.
‘I didn’t love it. The Quickstep wasn’t amazing. His posture wasn’t great, his posture needs improving in ballroom.
‘I think the beginning and the middle of the dance were a bit weird, jumping up and down on his legs, and it was just a bit weird choreographically, so I didn’t love Shayne’s dance.’
The Polish dancing star went on commenting: ‘I think overall the scoring is really high. People are getting high scores but then when I look at the leaderboard it’s probably right when you look at where people are positioned.’ioned.’

On the other hand, the Polish ballroom star sang the praises of Love Island’s Tasha and branded her an ‘amazing dancer’ (pictured with pro partner Aljaz Skorjanec)
‘JB and Tasha are at the top again. Tasha is an amazing dancer and the number was lovely. There was some great lift in there.
‘I wouldn’t probably give her a 10 though. She got three 10s, I would have maybe given a point less so she wouldn’t be on the same level as JB.’
‘It wasn’t a ten for me as they weren’t synchronised in some of the movements which I would like to see more in that dance side by side. I would say she’s the best dancer in the competition,’ she told bluntly.
